We see many drummers with several damper gels placed in the same area of the drum head (usually at the top). This can work, however, there is a better way…

1.If you need one gel, place it at 12 o’clock.
2.If you need two gels, place them at 12 and 6 o’clock.
3.If you need three gels, place them at 12, 4 and 8 o’clock.
4.If you need four gels, place them at 12, 3, 6 and 9 o’clock.
In other words: Distribute your SlapKlatz damper gels evenly around the drum head. This gives you the best sound, feel and dampening, without getting your drum heads out of balance
